I don’t know if you guys remember or not, but I spent a wonderful holiday at Queenstown where I experienced some of the most breathtaking sites of nature, namely Tasman Glacier Lake. If you didn’t know, check out my post about the unconventional beauty that Queenstown has to offer.

Chaotic graphics

But anyways, I’ve been thinking a lot about that trip, and you can tell because of the ASOS dress I decided to wear today. While it might not have been designed with the Tasman Glacier in mind, it still reminds me of the glaciers I stood in awe in front of. Come to think of it, I wonder what landmark actually inspired the designer. If you look closely you can see how this dress has so much depth and inspiration. With the sloping steep angles of the mountain, coupled with snow (or maybe it’s another element), the piece becomes alive. I also love how it’s almost like a collage that doesn’t actually make a whole cohesive image. The longer you look at it, at the sleeves and at the neckline, the more jumbled it looks. But I think that’s why I like it so much. It’s a chaotic beauty – a graphic image.

Loving red

And while the chaos is welcomed in the dress, I chose to balance it out with pops of red. The leather looking red jacket provides some texture to the look with the red studs. But my favorite bit of red in this is the red vampire lips clutch from ASOS. I think it adds to the graphic nature of this entire look. And because the halloween season is just around the corner, so I thought this clutch is definitely the perfect piece to fill in the blank 🙂

Toned down with the black

I didn’t want to go with red for the rest of the accessories because I didn’t want the color to overwhelm the dress. Instead, I decided to go with a few touches of a darker color. The black caged heels, from the Kardashian Kollection give the outfit a solid foundation that does not distract from the dress, and my Chanel gunmetal watch brings the black further up the outfit giving it a rounded and polish look.

PS: If you were wondering why I didn’t label out the leather jacket here, it’s because this is my design!!! I tried out designing clothing as hobby and made a sample of this jacket! So let me know if you do love it, then I will make more of it for sure.
